School and Community -2008  

OUR  CSR  Outreach is guided by the college’s mission to "develop highly competent and committed teachers who will play a leading role in the sustainable development of the Island Nation Sri Lanka and its integration into the global economy".

Outreach extends the expertise and knowledge-generating capacity of the institute to its increasingly diverse clients -- The schools from the poorest of the poor community whose needs are addressed by WNCOE Outreach Program, School and Community (S-COM) is one of the best partners of the educational development focuses on local capacity building for sustainable educational management.

The WNCOE Extension

This  is a focal point of non-degree continuing education at college, with a mandate to contribute toward the development of the province’s teachers through continuing education, training and consultancies services provided by a best team of Teacher Educators..

The scope of outreach work is defined in terms of partnership with private and public sector institutions at micro level. Special programs, mini conferences, seminars, short   teacher development agenda , etc. are designed for clients  school’s needs of or it’s  capacity development  for   achieving  National Education  Goals,
