The Wayamba National
College of Education Promotes
Educational change and sustainable development in the
Island Nation through Teacher Education, Research
and Outreach. Established in Sri Lanka in 2000, WNCOE
has become a leading Pre service teacher education institution
and is actively working with public sector partners throughout
the Sri Lanka and with some of the leading universities in the
Island.
Recognized for its
dimensional , multi- cultural ethos, the Institute operates as a
self-contained community at its college located 100 km (80
miles) north of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Besides
the usual labs and academic buildings, the main college
includes housing, sports, and medical facilities, a conference
center, and a library with over 50,000 volumes and . All serve
